Common Signs Your Pool is Leaking
Whilst water loss might not always mean you have a pool leak—evaporation from the sun alone can account for quite a bit—it is still the earliest indicator there’s an issue. Problems can stem from damaged pipework, structural issues or something completely different. Signs your pool may have a leak include:
- The water level drops quicker than usual
- Larger than normal power bills
- Cracked or loose pool tiles
- Algae growth or water quality that’s difficult to balance
- Standing water in the areas surrounding your pool or spa
- Dirt entering your pool from the return
- Unusual gurgling noises
- Pooling water under or near pool equipment
